Found a gorgeous jute rug (on clearance no less yay!) that would look amazing with my furniture on the screened-in porch. Just not sure if it would fair well outside.
Also, my porch is 14×10. I’m planning on putting the furniture just at one end. (2 chairs, loveseat, coffee table) Should I get a 5 x 7 rug or a 6×9? Thank you!

Jute and coco mats and rugs look great when you first buy them. But, they don’t wear well. The fibers eventually fall apart, especially when exposed to the weather. It may last a year or two, but expect to have to replace it fairly often.

Do cars suffer from nervous breakdowns.

for about 5 years now every year between april and may a mystery animal visits our garden every night next to our ivy on our patio.
they leave droppings of different sizes and shape, slightly oval.

we got the council in when we first discovered the droppings and they were uncertain.
they put down rat traps but caught nothing.
the droppings were still coming AROUND the traps..

nothing gets gnawed on our wooden fence or patio furniture.
and also the ivy leaves on the fence get ripped off, never seen a nibbled one.

could it be hedgehogs looking for snails?

it couldn’t be rats or mice because they would be there all year long if they liked it, not just at a certain short amount of time.

also we had the droppings tested and they went rats or mice.

what sort of animal could it be?
also the droppings are small, so cant be a foxes lol
and no claw marks

Its visits sound very much like a hedgehog, you could leave some tinned cat/dog food out on your patio and check every so often to check out who your visitor is. Turn the lights out in the room you will be viewing from but leave another light on in another room on the same side of the house so your patio is lit up just enough to see.
You never know you may even be rewarded with a visit from mom n babies later on in the season.

Insects won’t eat the cedar.

Obscure question, I know. My father is a master craftsman in the realm of wood, recently jobless, and in need of consumer information. His current situation leaves him in need of taking few investments on spec. Ideas and creativity are overwhelmingly present, however we would really love to know, for economy’s sake, what you want.

My wife and I have been looking for wooden patio furniture made from renewable/reclaimed sources. Those that we have found are normally trendy and that simply is not our style. The ideal is simple, affordable, traditional patio sets for us. We would love a "living room" type set for the from patio (love seat, arm chairs, coffee table, etc.) and a dining set out back.

how important is it to have a glider chair or rocking chair for nursing in? I have a horrible couch that kills everyones back when you sit in it. you sink straight down. it killed my back before i was pregnant. and now i dont ever sit in it. lol. and my bed. i would have to prop myself up in bed to feed. which is fine but there is a bookshelf head board and its impossible to prop up in bed comfortably. and then all we have besides that is hard wooden kitchen chairs. which would hurt after a while. which i know im going to use the bed and kitchen chairs. never the couch. so should i buy this glider chair. but really how important is it to have??

I was never very comfortable nursing in a glider rocker. The baby just didn’t fit very well in my arms, with the arms of the chair getting in the way of my elbows. The one you have linked has padded arms & that may help.

Nursing in bed is nice, too – if you lay on your side, instead of sitting up. Nice way for both of you to get a little nap in

If you’ve got room for it, I would look on craigslist or in a local thrift store & see if you can get a comfy recliner. They even have rocking recliners, if you think the rocking would be nice.

My price range is UNDER 400 dollars.

I bought a Dutailier rocker 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. It has made it thru two babies and is being used in our playroom now. It looks fantastic and has really held up. I would also tell you that I don’t recommend the ottomans with the glider action. You can’t get any traction and they are up too high for a comfortable position when holding a newborn. I bought a nursing footstool and used it until just recently. It was perfect and MUCH less expensive.
